Job Title: Finance Director (German Speaking) – Dublin, Ireland

 

About the Opportunity

On behalf of a confidential, fast-growing European media and content group, the German-Irish Chamber of Industry and Commerce is recruiting a Finance Director (German Speaking) to lead the finance function of a key division operating within the German-speaking market.

The organisation is active across film and television production, content distribution, and rights management, with an expanding international footprint driven by organic growth and strategic acquisitions. The role offers significant exposure to senior leadership, cross-border operations, and post-acquisition integration in a dynamic, creative environment.

The Role

The Finance Director will assume full responsibility for divisional finance, combining strategic leadership with hands-on operational oversight. Based primarily in Dublin, with regular international travel, the role acts as the main financial interface between divisional leadership and the wider group finance function.

This is a senior, high-impact position suited to an experienced finance professional who is commercially minded, comfortable in a fast-evolving environment, and confident operating across jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage newly implemented finance systems (e.g. Microsoft Business Central, Solver) to significantly enhance reporting quality, insight, and performance accountability
  • Support the relocation of selected finance and operational activities to Ireland
  • Own divisional budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance management
  • Oversee monthly and annual financial reporting, ensuring IFRS compliance and alignment with group standards
  • Lead the divisional audit process and coordinate effectively with external auditors and group finance
  • Manage the relationship with external banking partners, ensuring covenant compliance and timely reporting
  • Maintain a robust 12-month rolling cash flow forecast, with clear visibility on key drivers and risks
  • Provide commercial and financial insight to support growth initiatives, investments, and partnerships
  • Ensure strong financial controls, governance frameworks, and risk management practices
  • Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including any outsourced transactional activities
  • Drive post-acquisition integration of finance systems, processes, and reporting structures
  • Oversee divisional tax matters, including VAT and cross-border considerations
  • Act as a senior finance business partner to commercial, operational, and content teams
  • Build, develop, and lead a high-performing finance team

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified by experience accountant or holder of a recognised professional accounting qualification
  • Proven senior finance leadership experience within an international and/or fast-growing organisation
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, and audit processes
  • Solid understanding of tax, VAT, and cross-border finance
  • Experience within media, digital, technology, or similar sectors is highly desirable
  • Strong systems and ERP experience (e.g. NetSuite, SAP, or comparable platforms)
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Commercially minded, hands-on, and comfortable operating in a post-acquisition environment
  • Willingness to travel internationally while being primarily based in Dublin

Job Title: Service Account Manager

Location: Kilkenny, Ireland (Full-Time, Permanent)

The German-Irish Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Ireland) is supporting one of its clients in the recruitment of this position. Our client is an internationally active company in the pharmaceutical engineering sector, known for high-quality solutions, long-term customer partnerships, and a strong international footprint. This role offers the opportunity to take real ownership, work closely with customers and international teams, and make a visible impact within a growing organisation.

Your Responsibilities:

As a Service Account Manager, you will serve as the primary point of contact for our valued customers within the target market, playing a pivotal role in advising, supporting, and fostering their development. Your primary duty will be to ensure an unparalleled service experience for our customers. This involves advising and supporting our customers, as well as coordinating all customer service activities between the customer and specialist departments at our head office in Germany.

  • Act as the first point of contact for all customer inquiries post a successful SAT (Site Acceptance Test), involving relevant departments at the site and head office.
  • Translate and structure customer inquiries for the technical expert teams at Headquarters, ensuring accurate issue capture, case creation and follow-up
  • Assume responsibility for customer satisfaction, support, and development.
  • Engage in active service sales and lifecycle consultancy, including follow-up on quotations.
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts (e.g., SLA).
  • Serve as an external escalation point for all customer concerns, initiating internal actions and escalations as necessary.
  • Capture and communicate customer and market requirements to Service Product Management.
  • Support sales in general service-specific issues, such as URS handling, contract management for new machine projects, and presenting the service product portfolio.
  • Conduct regular customer visits.
  • Participate in trade fairs, encompassing preparation, active participation, and follow-up.
  • Ensure the achievement of annual target order intake and planned revenue increases.
  • Act as an extended project team member for new machine projects, particularly during the installation phase.
  • Collaborate closely with customer service staff at the head office.
  • Provide coaching and technical support to local colleagues (e.g., Customer Service Coordinator).

 

Your Qualifications:

  • Completed technical studies or equivalent knowledge (e.g., technical business economist).
  • Previous experience in customer service within (specialised) mechanical engineering is advantageous.
  • Strong customer focus with an affinity for customer service.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Confidence in customer interactions.
  • Organisational skills and the ability to efficiently coordinate all customer concerns.
  • Willingness to travel for business
  • Team player with the ability to work in an international environment.
  • Business fluency in English (German language skills are an advantage).
