Key Responsibilities

Sales Management & Business Development

Your Profile

 

  • Proven experience in sales, account management, or business development within the pharmaceutical, biotech, process engineering, instrumentation, analytical measurement, or chemical industries. A strong understanding of the sales processes, customer requirements and commercial environment within these industries is essential.

 

Technical Qualification

 

  • Ideally, you will have a background in measurement and control technology, instrumentation, process engineering, automation or a related technical discipline.
  • A strong understanding of analytical measurement technologies, particularly pH, conductivity, and dissolved oxygen (DO), is considered essential.
  • This knowledge will enable you to quickly engage with customers and technical applications without requiring extensive initial training.

 

Industry Network

 

  • You have access to and an established network within industries relevant to our business.
  • Existing relationships within the BioPharma sector are highly desirable.
  • Additional contacts within the chemical, food & beverage and wider process industries would be considered a significant advantage.

 

Application Expertise

 

  • You possess practical experience with process analytical instrumentation and measurement applications.
  • You are familiar with measurement points involving parameters such as pH, conductivity, and dissolved oxygen.
  • Ideally, you have previous experience selling, specifying, integrating, commissioning, or supporting comparable instrumentation solutions within pharmaceutical, biotech, chemical, or food production environments.

Legal Counsel (German Insurance Law)

Location: Germany (Remote) or Hybrid (Dublin, Ireland)

Our client, a leading international insurance provider, is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join its Legal team.


The successful candidate will support the Head of Legal and work closely with stakeholders across Commercial, Operations and Compliance functions on insurance law and regulatory matters, primarily relating to the German market.

 

The role will also provide support on cross-border legal topics involving Austria and other European jurisdictions.


This position can be performed remotely from Germany or on a hybrid basis with periodic visits to the company's Dublin office.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Advise the business on legal and regulatory requirements applicable to life and non-life insurance products operating in Germany on a Freedom of Services basis.
  • Provide legal advice relating to insurance customer documentation and marketing materials.
  • Support insurance distribution activities involving German and Austrian intermediaries, including trade and ancillary intermediaries.
  • Partner with business stakeholders on insurance law and regulatory matters to develop and improve products, solutions and customer communications.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting the German and Austrian markets and advise on their implications.
  • Conduct legal research and review products, initiatives and business activities from a legal and regulatory perspective.
  • Assist with and manage disputes, litigation and contentious matters affecting the business.
  • Manage relationships with external legal counsel.
  • Support cross-border insurance matters across European jurisdictions where the company operates.
  • Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, including service, distribution and reinsurance agreements.
  • Review and enhance legal processes, policies and procedures to mitigate risk and improve operational efficiency.
  • Build strong working relationships across the organisation and with external stakeholders.
  • Represent the company at relevant industry forums and regulatory discussions where required.
  • Promote the organisation's values and contribute to a positive and collaborative working environment.

 

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

 

  • Law degree obtained in Germany (1. Staatsexamen) or a Master of Laws (LL.M.).
  • Fully qualified German lawyer (Volljurist) or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 5–6 years' professional experience within a legal function.
  • Previous experience within the insurance sector, ideally non-life insurance.
  • Strong commercial awareness.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both German and English.
 
Desirable:

 

  • Admission to the Bar and/or eligibility for admission as Syndikusanwalt.
  • Knowledge of PPI and/or simple protection products.
  • Knowledge of Data Protection Law.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional looking to combine customer relationship management, technical consulting, business development, and operational leadership within a growing Irish operation. Your Responsibilities

Service Account Management

 

As the primary point of contact for customers within the Irish market, you will be responsible for ensuring an outstanding customer experience and supporting the long-term growth of customer relationships.

  • Act as the first point of contact for all customer enquiries following a successful Site Acceptance Test (SAT).
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Understand customer technical requirements and provide solution-oriented advice and support.
  • Translate and structure customer enquiries for specialist technical teams at Headquarters, ensuring accurate issue capture, case creation and follow-up.
  • Coordinate all customer service activities between customers and specialist departments at Headquarters.
  • Identify and develop new service and business opportunities within the Irish market.
  • Engage in active service sales and lifecycle consultancy, including follow-up on quotations and service offerings.
  • Negotiate and finalise service-related contracts and agreements, including Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Serve as an escalation point for customer concerns, coordinating internal actions and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Capture and communicate customer and market requirements to relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Support sales and project teams on service-specific topics, including URS handling, contract management and new machine projects.
  • Act as an extended project team member during machine installations and commissioning phases.
  • Conduct regular customer visits and participate in trade fairs, industry events and customer meetings.
  • Contribute to the achievement of annual order intake targets and service revenue growth.

 

Site Management

 

In addition to customer-facing responsibilities, you will support the continued growth and development of the Irish Customer Care Centre.

  • Support and lead the day-to-day operations of the Irish Customer Care Centre.
  • Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Act as the key liaison between the Irish operation and Headquarters in Germany.
  • Contribute to workforce planning and organisational development in line with business growth.
  • Provide coaching, guidance and support to local colleagues.
  • Support annual planning, budgeting and resource forecasting activities.
  • Monitor operational performance and contribute to achieving profitability and growth objectives.

Your Qualifications

 

  • Completed technical studies or equivalent qualification (e.g. Engineering, Technical Business Management or similar).
  • Experience in technical service, account management, customer support, business development or sales within an engineering-related environment.
  • Experience within the pharmaceutical, life sciences, fill & finish, packaging, automation or specialised machinery sector would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong customer focus with a consultative and solution-oriented approach.
  • Ability to understand and translate technical customer requirements into actionable solutions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
