Job Title: Service Account Manager

Location: Kilkenny, Ireland (Full-Time, Permanent)

The German-Irish Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Ireland) is supporting one of its clients in the recruitment of this position. Our client is an internationally active company in the pharmaceutical engineering sector, known for high-quality solutions, long-term customer partnerships, and a strong international footprint. This role offers the opportunity to take real ownership, work closely with customers and international teams, and make a visible impact within a growing organisation.

Your Responsibilities:

As a Service Account Manager, you will serve as the primary point of contact for our valued customers within the target market, playing a pivotal role in advising, supporting, and fostering their development. Your primary duty will be to ensure an unparalleled service experience for our customers. This involves advising and supporting our customers, as well as coordinating all customer service activities between the customer and specialist departments at our head office in Germany.

  • Act as the first point of contact for all customer inquiries post a successful SAT (Site Acceptance Test), involving relevant departments at the site and head office.
  • Translate and structure customer inquiries for the technical expert teams at Headquarters, ensuring accurate issue capture, case creation and follow-up
  • Assume responsibility for customer satisfaction, support, and development.
  • Engage in active service sales and lifecycle consultancy, including follow-up on quotations.
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts (e.g., SLA).
  • Serve as an external escalation point for all customer concerns, initiating internal actions and escalations as necessary.
  • Capture and communicate customer and market requirements to Service Product Management.
  • Support sales in general service-specific issues, such as URS handling, contract management for new machine projects, and presenting the service product portfolio.
  • Conduct regular customer visits.
  • Participate in trade fairs, encompassing preparation, active participation, and follow-up.
  • Ensure the achievement of annual target order intake and planned revenue increases.
  • Act as an extended project team member for new machine projects, particularly during the installation phase.
  • Collaborate closely with customer service staff at the head office.
  • Provide coaching and technical support to local colleagues (e.g., Customer Service Coordinator).

 

Your Qualifications:

  • Completed technical studies or equivalent knowledge (e.g., technical business economist).
  • Previous experience in customer service within (specialised) mechanical engineering is advantageous.
  • Strong customer focus with an affinity for customer service.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Confidence in customer interactions.
  • Organisational skills and the ability to efficiently coordinate all customer concerns.
  • Willingness to travel for business
  • Team player with the ability to work in an international environment.
  • Business fluency in English (German language skills are an advantage).

The organisation works with global manufacturing companies and industry associations and delivers high-quality training programmes internationally.

To strengthen its international operations, our client is seeking a highly organised, proactive, and creative professional who combines marketing expertise with strong operational skills.

This role integrates Marketing, Event Management, Programme Operations, and Business Development, and offers significant scope for ownership and impact. As this is a start-up environment, the client is specifically looking for a personality with the drive, motivation, and entrepreneurial mindset to make this role their own and contribute to its long-term success.

Your Responsibilities

Marketing (approx. 30–50%)

  • Create and publish LinkedIn posts, newsletters, and event promotions
  • Maintain and update website pages, landing pages, and event pages
  • Implement marketing activities based on the operational marketing plan
  • Support lead generation initiatives for open training programs
  • Coordinate marketing assets using existing templates and tools (e.g., Canva, WordPress)
  • Conduct basic market and event research (conferences, speaking opportunities)

 

Program & Event Operations

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage all open training programs and event dates
  • Scout, book and coordinate venues, including logistics and confirmations
  • Maintain all training and event data in HubSpot, the website, and team calendars
  • Manage participant registrations, minimum attendee numbers, communication, and pre-learning (iSpring)
  • Prepare and manage physical and digital training materials, including shipping and production
  • Coordinate closely with trainers, ensuring they receive all required materials and schedules
  • Support smooth operational execution before, during, and after each training program

 

Training Material & Content Logistics

  • Prepare and manage all pre- and post-training materials (physical and digital)
  • Organize production and shipping of printed materials, track deliveries
  • Maintain and update digital materials used by trainers and partners
  • Ensure all downloads and resources on learning platforms are kept up to date

 

Business Development & Sales Support

  • Support growth initiatives and market research
  • Identify industry events, conferences, and potential collaboration opportunities
  • Take full ownership of projects and contribute to continuous process improvement
  • Develop, maintain, and optimise workflows and automation in HubSpot (in collaboration with external experts when needed)

 

HubSpot & Automation Support

  • Maintain and improve operational workflows for events, participants, and communication
  • Ensure automation processes run smoothly and identify optimization opportunities
  • Develop and implement workflow automation in HubSpot, in collaboration with external HubSpot specialists where needed

 

Your Profile

Must-Have Skills

  • Strong organisational skills and experience in operations, events, or coordination roles
  • Hands-on marketing experience (social media, newsletters, content updates)
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, and think creatively
  • Excellent English and German language skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Basic graphic or image editing skills
  • Experience with CRM or automation systems (preferably HubSpot)
  • Residency in Ireland

 

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with WordPress, Canva, iSpring, AI tools
  • Background in B2B or professional service environments
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders (trainers, partners, clients)
