The Irish Energy Sector is dynamically changing. Ireland is planning to generate up to 80 % of its electricity from renewable energies until 2030. In order to achieve this, energy storage and grid infrastructure will be significantly expanded in the coming years. Major investments are underway: the Irish government and Irish electricity grid operator ESB each plan to invest approximately €11bn in total.

This development creates strong opportunities for cooperation between Irish stakeholder and German technology providers. Their focus is on short-term and decentralized storage solutions such as lithium-ion batteries and pumped-storage power plants and decentralized solutions for home storage. German companies offer a range of long-term storage, hybrid systems, mobile storage and energy management software.

The delegation offers German companies a targeted entry into the Irish energy sector. The focus is on relevant market information, networking events, project visits, and individually organized and prepared B2B meetings.

Why should you take part?

You will gain exclusive insight into the Irish energy market and its future development. You will learn about current investment projects, market structures and the regulatory framework, and gain direct access to key decision-makers from the business, political and energy sectors.

Through individually arranged B2B meetings, networking events and project visits, concrete business opportunities will be identified and lasting contacts established to facilitate a successful market entry.
