ESB Winner Gala
Keith Arkins

On Friday, 7 November 2025, the German-Irish Chamber of Industry and Commerce proudly hosted its First Annual German-Irish Business Gala at the InterContinental Dublin. The event welcomed 170 guests from across Ireland and Germany for an evening of celebration, networking, and dialogue on the future of bilateral business relations.

The Gala marked a new milestone for the Chamber, a flagship annual event celebrating the partnership, innovation, and friendship that unite the German and Irish business communities.

Guests and Speakers

The Chamber was honoured to welcome Emer Higgins, TD, Minister of State at the Department of Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation.

A special highlight of the evening was the participation of Dr. Volker Treier, Chief Executive of Foreign Trade and Member of the Executive Board of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK).

We were further honoured by the attendance and speech of Ambassador David Gill, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ireland.

Opening remarks were given by Stefanie Ziska, CEO of the German-Irish Chamber, who welcomed the guests and introduced Joe Walsh, President of the Chamber, for his keynote address.

Award ceremony: ESB Wins the German-Irish Business Award 2025

A highlight of the evening was the German-Irish Business Award 2025, presented to ESB in recognition of their outstanding contribution to advancing the energy transition and fostering German-Irish collaboration in the renewable energy sector.

The award celebrates ESB’s pioneering HYreland project, which is driving forward the development of a green hydrogen ecosystem in Ireland. The project demonstrates how large-scale, cross-sectoral cooperation can help decarbonise transport, industry, and energy, while laying the groundwork for future hydrogen exports to Europe.

Thank You to Our Partners

The Chamber extends its heartfelt thanks to its members, sponsors, and all those who contributed to the success of the Gala!
